Technical
This comprehensive system allows for the build up of a Preventive / Planned Maintenance and Repair Specifications mechanism to follow up and monitor
all technical-related outstanding tasks for a vessel, per equipment and component, as well as any repair / damage work.
The planned maintenance scheduling can be based on time periodicity (by year, month or day) or on running hours or on both. Moreover,
it features an important linking, for planning capacity, with spares, stores, tools, manpower requirements and repairs to be done per task/job and it is also linked with the engine log for automatic updating of running hours and condition monitoring. The system incorporates cost budgeting and comparison with actual costs upon completion per job, links with Company procedures and check-action lists, and keeps historical records on all completed jobs and other works with full details. In this way, the person responsible for the upcoming work can be guided by previous experience and/or outstandings or hints, thus ensuring continuity in the components' life cycle regardless of office personnel or crew turnover.
Through a simple query on the database, the system will retrieve the required
Outstanding Vessel Jobs and display them on a “List Page” allowing
the user to select the ones to view on the Scheduler. The Scheduler provides a graphic
presentation of the selected Jobs on the time axis, indicating the Resources
(Equipment, Component or Job) and the due and scheduled dates of the jobs
for each resource. In addition, should the user so wish, the scheduled dates may be easily amended through simple “drag and drop” operation.
SES Technical allows the user to organize
effectively all the survey items for proper,
safe and speedy follow-up
and represents a unique tool for the superintendent engineer and
port captain
for easy management of the obligation to maintain a seaworthy vessel. In addition, it
facilitates the staff ashore and those at sea to follow up on all certificates
relating to a Company’s fleet and for each individual vessel. Moreover, besides engine performance analysis data, the system offers diagnostic features and capabilities
allowing the implementation of appropriate measures for achieving maximum engine
efficiency at minimum cost.
